Several forums featuring candidates for Wichita mayor have been organized in the next few weeks in advance of the April 7 general election.

City Council member Jeff Longwell, who represents District 5 in west Wichita, and retired advertising executive Sam Williams advanced to the general election after Tuesday’s primary.

Here is a list of forums the general public can attend:

▪ March 10, 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Wichita Scottish Rite auditorium, 332 E. First St. The forum is sponsored by five health-related nonprofit organizations: the Health Alliance, Health and Wellness Coalition of Wichita, Livable Communities Collaborative, the Medical Society of Sedgwick County and the Wichita Business Coalition on Health Care.

▪ March 15, 4 to 6 p.m. at Tabernacle Bible Church, 1817 N. Volutsia. Candidates have been invited by the Wichita Voter Empowerment 2015 Committee.

▪ March 16, 6:30 p.m. at the Bingo Casino, 2431 E. Mount Vernon. The forum is sponsored by the Mead Neighborhood Association.

On March 24, KWCH-12 will host a televised mayoral forum at 6:30 p.m.
