Rep. Mike Pompeo will face his three general election challengers in a debate at Wichita State University next week.

The debate, at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, will feature all four candidates on November’s ballot for the 4th Congressional District, which covers Wichita and the surrounding area. The event, hosted by the university’s political science department, is free and open to the public.

Pompeo, a Wichita Republican who was first elected to the U.S. House in 2010, will square off against Democrat Dan Giroux, an attorney from Wichita; independent Miranda Allen, a businesswoman from Kiowa; and Libertarian Gordon Bakken, an aerospace engineer who has previously run for the Legislature.

The event will be held at WSU’s Hughes Metropolitan Complex.
