Mayor Carl Brewer to deliver State of the City speech Tuesday evening

Mayor Carl Brewer is scheduled to deliver his final State of the City address beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The speech will be presented in the Wichita City Council Chamber at City Hall, 455 N. Main.

Wichitans can watch the speech in the chamber or via video monitor on the first floor of City Hall. It can also be seen on Channel 7 or online by going to www.wichita.gov.

A reception will follow the speech on the first floor of City Hall.

Brewer has served as mayor since 2008, after being a member of the City Council from 2001 to 2007. He cannot run for a third term.

He is the first elected African-American to serve in the position.
