There will be a forum of legislators from the South-Central Kansas Legislative Delegation this weekend.

The forum will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wichita State University Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 5015 E. 29th St. North in Wichita.

It’s the same format that was used at previous forums this year. Residents will fill out cards, a representative will read the question aloud and then any legislative member can answer.

Questions should be directed to the delegation as a whole and not to any particular representative.

Rep. Blake Carpenter, R-Derby, said past forum formats devolved into people not asking a specific question at the podium.

“We want to make sure we can continue on at a good pace,” Carpenter said.

The legislative session in Topeka will resume on April 27. Carpenter said he expects this forum to be the last of the session.
