Kansas Department of Transportation OKs bids for 2 road, bridge projects
Bids for two multimillion-dollar road and bridge projects in Harper and Sedgwick counties have been approved by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Construction in Harper County will take place along U.S. 160. The project will include work on three bridges east of Barber County and three bridges west of the south U.S. 160/K-2 junction. The project has been let to King Construction of Hesston for about $9.66 million.
Sedgwick County will see the grading and surfacing of a 1.6-mile span of 53rd Street North, from Primrose to just east of Hydraulic. The project will cost nearly $3.86 million and has been let to Cornejo & Sons Construction of Wichita.
