Sedgwick County property tax bills went out this week, some incorrectly

A vendor addressed and delivered about 450 Sedgwick County tax bills incorrectly, the county said Wednesday in a news release.

The county’s vendor sent out about 230,000 property tax bills this week, and some were mixed up. The incorrect bills affected residents in Cheney, Clearwater and Colwich. The vendor corrected the problem and mailed new bills to those residents Tuesday.

Taxpayers who have questions about their tax statement or who do not receive a statement may call the Sedgwick County Call Center at 316-660-9110. First-half tax payments are due Dec. 22.
