Sen. Rand Paul to hold Wichita rally for Brownback, Roberts on Oct. 28
U.S. Sen. Rand Paul will hold three public rallies Oct. 28 in support of Republican incumbents Gov. Sam Brownback and Sen. Pat Roberts, including one in Wichita.
The Wichita event is from noon to 1 p.m. at Jabara Airport’s Hangar One, 3512 N. Webb Road.
The Kentucky senator will follow the Wichita stop with a rally from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Lamplighter Inn, 4020 Parkview Drive in Pittsburg. The third event is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. at Overland Park’s Museum at Prairiefire, 5801 W. 135th St.
Paul will also appear at private fundraisers and meetings during his visit to Kansas, according to a news release.
In addition to Paul’s rallies, two other events supporting Brownback and Roberts will be held Oct. 27.
The Mitt Romney rally for Roberts is set for 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Prairiefire shopping district, 5661 W. 135th St. in Overland Park. The Bobby Jindal rally for Brownback is scheduled for 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Steel and Pipe Supply, 401 New Century Parkway in New Century.
Brownback faces gubernatorial hopeful Democrat Paul Davis in the Nov. 4 general election. Independent candidate Greg Orman is challenging Roberts in the senate race.
