Troy Anderson named as finalist for Davenport City Administrator job
Wichita Assistant City Manager Troy Anderson has been named as a finalist to be the city administrator for Davenport, Iowa.
Anderson has worked for the city of Wichita since 2022 as its assistant city manager for development services.
“I’m incredibly honored to be named as a finalist and appreciative of the opportunity to participate in the process,” Anderson said in an email statement to the Eagle. “At the same time, my focus and commitment remain fully on serving the City of Wichita and supporting our elected officials, staff, and community. This is simply the next step in the recruiting process, and my commitment to my work here remains unchanged.”
In his current role, Anderson leads the city’s economic and commercial development efforts.
Other finalists for the Davenport administrator role include its interim administrator, Tim Gleason; former city administrator for the City of Fort Smith, Ark., Carl Geffken; and two finalists from East Moline, Ill.: retired Col. Daniel Mitchell and Mark Rothert.
A Facebook post by the city of Davenport said finalists for the role will meet with the public on Feb. 2, with interview panels the following day.
