The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday struck down bans against same-sex marriage as unconstitutional, legalizing the practice nationwide.
In a 5-4 opinion, the high court ruled that states must recognize marriages between two people of the same sex. States must also recognize gay marriages licensed in other states.
