Prince Louis’ handwritten Christmas note gives thanks to his ‘Granny and Grandpa’
On Dec. 6, the royal family attended its annual “Together at Christmas” service at Westminster Abbey.
While at the event, Prince William and Princess Catherine’s youngest son, Prince Louis was seen holding a handwritten note.
The note was for the “Kindness Tree,” Today reports. The tree is set up outside Westminster Abbey and contains messages written by those in attendance.
A photo of Prince Louis’ note showed that his note was dedicated to his “Granny and Grandpa.”
“Thank you to Granny and Grandpa,” the note began, “because they have played games with me.”
During the service, Princess Catherine shared rare remarks regarding the difficult year the royal family faced while talking with singer Paloma Faith.
The mom of three called it “unplanned,” saying she didn’t think “this year was going to be the year I just had,” but noted that she knows “I’m not alone. So many people have faced their own challenges this year.”
At the start of the year, the princess and King Charles were both diagnosed with cancer.
In September, Catherine revealed she completed her chemotherapy treatments and hoped to begin easing her way back into public life.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” the 42-year-old princess shared in an Instagram video. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.”
“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” Catherine continued. “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
In a video shared on X by Channel 5 news, the family is seen decked out in red as they passed that “Kindness Tree.”
