A Florida driver taking a bride to her wedding was pulled over after he was accused of going 105 miles per hour, police said.

Police body camera footage shows the bride sitting in the passenger seat dressed in a long white gown while the driver is smartly dressed next to her.

According to the video, the ceremony was scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m., but the vehicle was pulled over at about 2:40 p.m. in Port St. Lucie — about a 10-mile drive from Stuart, where the wedding was scheduled to take place, police said in an April 11 news release.

“You’re already late,” an officer tells the bride and driver in the video.

“We’re trying to get there,” the bride told the officer with a nervous chuckle, according to the video.

The driver was given a mandatory court date before the officer let him take the bride to the ceremony, police said.

“This stop gives a whole new meaning to racing to the altar,” police said.

Port St. Lucie is about a 45-mile drive northwest from Palm Beach.
