A new trend has TikTokers flooding users’ feeds with emotional videos of them achieving their wildest dreams.

But the videos don’t only get funnier and more bizarre — they’re entirely made up.

A video posted by user @Julie_eigenmann shows a man in front of a computer surrounded by others with the words “Pretending I got into Harvard because we’re bored and we’re a family of actors,” the Dec. 29 video that’s been viewed over 8.3 million times as of Dec. 30 showed.

The video shows the group surrounding a computer as if they’re waiting for the college’s portal to load before they go crazy.

A Dec. 22 video posted to the platform by @AubreyGavelloo shows a family’s deaf dog getting into Harvard, according to the video captioned “Accepted at only 13 years old. Could not be more proud of him.”

The video, viewed over 5.2 million times as of Dec. 30, shows the dog “scrolling” on the computer before the entire family jumps for joy at the pup’s acceptance.

Users rushed to the comments, with even Harvard’s school of public policy and government joining in on the joke by commenting “Congrats!”

“So humble,” someone said.

“We are so proud of him,” another person wrote.

Users began to stray away from the original college acceptance bit and got more creative with one TikToker posting a video about a restaurant being open on Christmas Eve.

On Dec. 25, @Rachel_defore joined the viral joke with a video saying “Checking to see if our local Mexican restaurant is open for Christmas Eve,” according to the video that’s been viewed over 6.6 million times as of Dec. 30.

The group of five can be seen eagerly awaiting the fate of their Christmas Eve dinner before the mood shifts and the group goes wild, with one person pretending to sob tears of joy, according to the video captioned “please watch everyone separately.”

Users were in love with this take on the joke with one person saying, “This is the funniest one yet.”

“Everybody is so committed,” another person wrote.

“Your brother wins this. Period. Give this kid an Oscar,” someone said.

“Everyone understood the assignment fr,” someone said.

On Dec. 21, @Khimburlie posted a video saying, “When Domino’s confirms that the pizza order is in the oven.”

“Me, when my package says out for delivery,” another person wrote.

“Why did I get chills ... so happy for yall,” someone said.

Another clever TikToker took to the app to share their dream coming true — when the food delivery service, DoorDash, lets them know their driver is on the way with their order, according to a Dec. 23 video that’s been viewed over 1.9 million times as of Dec. 30.

The user can be seen looking at the screen before being unable to hold back tears because of the life-altering event.

“The only notification I care about,” one person said.

“It’s like getting into Harvard but better,” another wrote.

The app is riddled with different versions of the viral joke but all users seem to be in agreement that they “love the new adults.”
