An energetic ball of energy is in need of some loving attention — and a new place to rest her head in Illinois.

Meet Molly, a sweetheart of a senior pup who was left homeless after her owner died, Pet Profile Rescue said in a July 22 Facebook post. But it appears Molly is adjusting well to her temporary caregivers, or is at least set on protecting them from the harsh realities of the outside world … or protecting them from the shadow of an Amazon delivery person.

The rescue posted a video of Molly, barking her little heart out at something outside.

“Molly actively puts her whole little self in her barking,” Pet Profile Rescue said.

“She will be getting a dental this Friday and we are accepting applications for her. She is a really good girl, friendly, and great with other dogs. She is 10 years young!”

The rescue is a nonprofit organization in the Chicago area and doesn’t have a physical shelter where folks can come and see the dogs, so an application needs to be filled out at this website.

McClatchy News has reached out to Pet Profile Rescue and is awaiting a response.
