Taco Bell brings back fan-favorite taco – but it won’t stick around. What to know

A Taco Bell fan-favorite is making a comeback, but not for long.

Crispy chicken tacos returned to menus nationwide on Thursday, June 29, the California-based taco chain announced.

For $2.79, the handhelds include a crispy chicken strip, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce and tomato wrapped in a flour tortilla, according to a product description.

Customers also have their pick of avocado ranch or chipotle sauce to top it off.

The tacos were dropped from menus last year, and their comeback has been cheered along with the return of the Volcano Menu, McClatchy News reported.

Both are available for a limited time, Taco Bell said.

Other new and returning items are:

• $5 Cravings Box featuring a chalupa supreme, crunchy taco, beefy 5-layer burrito, cinnamon twists and a drink.
