Llama drama captured by dashboard camera

A couple of California sheriff’s deputies found themselves dealing with llama drama on Monday after one of the animals wandered onto a highway.

In a Facebook post that began “The things they don’t teach you in the academy …. llama wrangling,” the Solano County Sheriff’s Office shared dashcam video of how Deputies David Hollingsworth and Jordan Austin were able to quickly corral the animal after it escaped from its pasture.

With four other llamas watching curiously, the deputies slipped a pink halter onto the llama on the lam. Instead of hauling the loose llama to a grassy garrison, however, the deputies gave the wayward wool provider some “verbal counseling” and allowed it to rejoin the herd in its home pasture.
