Former Hawker Beechcraft CEO Jim Schuster has joined the board of directors of Galaxy Tool and its subsidiary, Galaxy Tool Corp., a Winfield-based supplier of production tooling for the aerospace, defense and plastic markets, the company said.
“Jim’s deep understanding of the aerospace and defense markets, along with his strong leadership skills and overall strategic vision will make him an invaluable advisor to Galaxy as it progresses through the industry upturn,” Galaxy Tool CEO Andy Plyer said in a statement.
Galaxy Tool’s major customers include Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Rubbermaid and Coleman. Its major shareholder is Gladstone Investment, a publicly-traded business development company.
