Boeing delivers 462 commercial aircraft; books 530 net orders in 2010

Boeing said today it delivered 462 commercial airplanes last year, including 376 Boeing 737 aircraft, hitting its overall 2010 delivery target.

The company also took 530 net commercial orders for the year as air carriers transition from economic recovery to an expansion mode. That includes 486 net orders for 737s.

Boeing’s order book includes 3,443 unfilled orders.

Last year, Boeing announced production increases throughout its product line, including increases in 737 production to 35 per month in early 2012 to 38 a month in mid-2013.

Production of 777 will rise from five to seven per month in mid-2011 and grow to 8.3 per month in early 2013.
