Matt Braeuer's first job

Former Shocker basketball player Matt Braeuer will continue his coaching career with a full-time gig at Midland (Texas) College, a junior college in Midland, Texas.

It’s one of the better juco programs. The Chaparrals won the NJCAA title in 1982 and 2007. Midland is also known as the juco that sent former NBA player Spud Webb into prominence.

Braeuer, from Belton, Texas, played guard at WSU from 2004-08. He spent the past two seasons as a graduate assistant at WSU. He played a key role in WSU’s 2006 NCAA Tournament team, most famously sinking a game-winning three-pointer against Creighton in an overtime game at Koch Arena.
