There’s a new clothing store going where Frank & Margaret used to be just down from Aspen Boutique at Douglas and Oliver.
Brooke Greene is closing her Pink Saloon in El Dorado on June 27 and moving it to Wichita at the beginning of July.
When the opportunity came to take that space, Greene says, she didn’t want to pass it up.
“I love fashion, I love business, and as a Christian I love ministry,” Greene says. Pink Saloon is “just our way of, I don’t know, loving people and doing what we love and just being part of fashion.”

Greene says her shop sells a mix of fashion in a range of sizes.
When she opened in El Dorado almost three years ago, Greene initially planned to target younger shoppers.
“As our business has grown . . . there’s so many women of all ages . . . that shop with us,” she says.
Aspen Boutique owners James and Monica Smits also own the center where Pink Saloon is moving. James Smits says friends are concerned about them bringing another women’s clothing shop so close to their store. But he believes it will only strengthen their business to have shoppers think of their center when looking for new clothes.
Greene isn’t sure if her Wichita Pink Saloon will be her only shop or if she’ll add more.
“I’m just open to whatever the Lord has for me, honestly.”
