Salvation Army to distribute school supplies

The Salvation Army will distribute school supplies for the 2016-17 school year at three locations during the week of Aug. 8.

The school supplies, collected through local businesses and organizations, will be provided to qualified applicants between 10 a.m. and noon and 1 and 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 9-11.

The Salvation Army will interview applicants and distribute the supplies at three Wichita locations. Interested people should call the Salvation Army to determine which of the three locations — 350 N. Market, 1910 S. Everett or 1739 S. Elpyco — they should apply to based on the ZIP code of their home address.
