Newman University official leaving for Indiana job

Newman University’s provost and vice president of academic affairs is leaving for a new job in Indiana, according to a news release.

Michael Austin has accepted a position as executive vice president for academic affairs at the University of Evansville and will start in his new role on July 1.

Austin, who will continue in his current role into June, has been at Newman since 2008. The university is expected to launch a national search to fill Austin’s position, according to the release.
