All Kansas residents will be eligible to apply for undergraduate admissions to any public universities, community colleges, technical colleges, or independent colleges in the state of Kansas at no cost from Oct. 6 to 8.

Eligible programs include general applications, certificate programs, associate degree programs and bachelor’s degree programs. These groups of prospective students will be eligible to participate:

  • First-time freshmen
  • Transfer students
  • Returning students
  • Applicants seeking a second bachelor’s degree

Those wishing to apply for graduate programs will not be eligible.

This is a part of the state’s annual Apply Free Days, which last year saw 18,581 submitted applications, saving prospective students more than $481,000 in application fees.

Applicants can begin working on their applications at any time as long as the application is submitted on one of the three days.
