Fourth of July fireworks are still lighting up the sky, but it's already time to get kids enrolled for school.

Parents with children returning to the Wichita school district can go online to complete enrollment forms, see class schedules, update contact information and pay for enrollment fees and school meals.

You'll need an active ParentVUE account to access the online enrollment forms. The site — https://parentvue.usd259.net — became operational Tuesday. If you have forgotten your password, contact your child's school to have it reset.

Parents new to the district or those who don't have a ParentVUE account can go to www.usd259.org/enroll to print out and complete common enrollment forms to save time during in-person enrollment.

In-person enrollment at all Wichita schools is July 30-Aug. 1, noon to 7 p.m. During in-person enrollment, parents and students receive school-specific information, including locker assignments and school supply lists, and take photos for student IDs.

The first day of school is Aug. 15, with a half-day orientation for sixth- and ninth-grade students on Aug. 14. Start times at all schools are 10 minutes later this year.

For more enrollment information, go to www.usd259.org/enroll.
