Phones and internet down at some Maize schools

A problem with the Maize school district’s fiber connection has led to phones and internet service being down at locations throughout the district, officials said in an e-mail to parents Friday morning.

Phones “appear to be functioning normally” at three schools – Maize South Elementary, Maize South Middle School and Maize South High School – according to the e-mail. Patrons needing to contact another school or department are asked to call one of those three schools, and staff members will be able to transfer those calls internally between schools.

The phone numbers are: 316-462-8000 (Maize South High); 316-722-0421 (Maize South Middle); or 316-462-8300 (Maize South Elementary).

“We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience,” the district said in the e-mail.
