Police seek public’s help in $35,000 burglary

The crime

Sometime between about 11 p.m. June 11 and 1:30 a.m. June 12, three men forced entry through a secure fence at Honey Do Homes, 3750 N. Topeka. They then drove into the area in a late 2000s silver or tan Chevy Tahoe or Cadillac Escalade.

They broke into 11 company vehicles/trailers and took approximately $35,000 worth of electric tools, hand tools and painting supplies. Several Dewalt and Ryobi tool kits that included impact drills, batteries, chargers and circular saws, and several Ryobi and Yamaha generators also were taken. Also missing are a Graco blue airless paint sprayer, a Little Giant mini ladder and a Dewalt construction radio.

The men put most of the stolen property in a company truck. It is a 1996 white Dodge Ram 2500 single cab with Kansas commercial tag 540934. The side stickers were removed from the doors and bed, but would still have some residue. The tailgate has Honey Do Homes and the phone number on it.

The three suspects are all black men in their late 20s to mid-30s and are between 5-foot-10 and 6-1.

The first suspect has a medium build and dark skin. He was wearing navy blue pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, black baseball hat and black shoes with light color stripes on the side.

The second suspect has a skinny to medium build and medium skin tone. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, a navy blue or black beanie and brown shoes.

The third suspect has a medium build and medium skin tone. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a black emblem on its front, light-blue jeans, a black baseball hat and dark shoes.
