Wichita police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in a 2016 homicide.

On Oct. 26, 2016, Samuel Resendez met with Faustino Martinez Jr. in a parking lot at 2025 S. Seneca at around 4:45 p.m., Crime Stoppers said.

The men got into an argument and police say Martinez fatally shot Resendez then left in a 2010 white Range Rover. The vehicle was found near the scene, but Martinez is still at large, Crime Stoppers said.

He is wanted on suspicion of first-degree murder, criminal possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute.

Investigators think Martinez is most likely in Mexico or Southern California, but could possibly be in Wichita.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or online at wichitasedgwickcountycrimestoppers.com.
