Teen robbed in west Wichita

Wichita police are still searching for four suspects involved in an aggravated robbery of a 16-year-old Sunday in west Wichita.

A 16-year-old male told police that a 19-year-old woman allegedly assaulted him in the 400 block of North Woodchuck at around 2 a.m. Sunday with three other suspects. That’s near Central and Tyler in west Wichita.

The teenager told officers that the woman hit him in the head with a pistol and the other three punched him and took his wallet, necklace, shoes and two phones. He did not know his attackers, police said.

Sgt. Nikki Woodrow, of the Wichita Police Department, said responding officers interviewed the 16-year-old at Wesley West ER, 8714 W. 13th St.

Woodrow said the 16-year-old had minor head injuries.
