Police searching for car after shootings
Wichita police are searching for a dark-colored Dodge Charger that may have been involved in a north Riverside shooting on Saturday evening.
Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of North Coolidge shortly after 6:30 p.m. after a 51-year-old man witnessed shots being fired from a car in that area, according to Sgt. Joe Kennedy, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
As officers were investigating, another north Riverside resident reported hearing shots fired in the area of Perry and McKee.
When Wichita police arrived at that location, they found gunshot damage to a residence in the 1400 block of North Perry. Area residents were contacted, Kennedy said, and a 44-year-old man said he was inside the residence with a 42-year-old man and a 16-year-old female.
There were no injuries to the residents.
