Man taken to jail after allegedly threatening neighbors
An argument between neighbors escalated Sunday morning with a 46-year-old man being arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
The disturbance happened at 12:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Millwood, according to Sgt. Joe Kennedy, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
When officers arrived, a 43-year-old woman told police that the 46-year-old man had pointed a handgun at her and made threats as the two were arguing over money. The woman retrieved her own handgun from her house but did not point it at the man. In the meantime, the woman’s 44-year-old husband confronted the suspect before police arrived, Kennedy said.
No injuries were reported.
The 46-year-old man was taken into custody and booked into jail on suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
