The Kansas Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in two cases during a special evening session at Hutchinson Community College in October. The public is invited.

The session will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4 in B.J. Warner Recital Hall in the Stringer Fine Arts Center, 600 E. 11th, on the Hutchinson Community College campus. The cases to be heard will be announced next month. The justices will greet the public afterward.

The session is part of an ongoing effort to familiarize the public with the Kansas Supreme Court, its justices and its work, as well as the overall role of the Kansas judiciary, according to a news release from the state’s Office of Judicial Administration. October’s visit will be the court’s first to Hutchinson and the fifth evening session held.
