Wichita police have released several images of a robbery in progress at a downtown hotel last month.

The robbery occurred at about 9 p.m. on July 31 at the Hotel at WaterWalk, Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said. The suspect walked in to the hotel at 711 S. Main, pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded money.

The 22-year-old clerk complied with his demand and he left with the money, police have said. The suspect is about 35 years old, about 6-feet-3 and 170 pounds, Woodrow said.

He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, gray shoes and a white and black baseball hat. Anyone with information about the suspect is being asked to call detectives at 316-268-4407 or CrimeStoppers at 316-267-2111.
