Police: Man robs motel near downtown
A man, about 50 to 60 years old, is suspected of robbing the Quality Inn Downtown, 1011 N. Topeka, late Friday evening at knifepoint, according to the Wichita Police Department.
Wichita police Sgt. Wendell Nicholson said a 26-year-old woman working at the motel reported the man coming in around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
After pointing a knife at her and demanding money, he left the scene on foot with an unknown amount of cash from the robbery, Nicholson said.
There were no other witnesses.
No injuries were reported.
