East-side Burger King robbed – again
The Burger King on East Harry was robbed for the third time this year Monday night, police said.
The restaurant in the 4200 block of East Harry was held up at 9:45 p.m. Monday by a man wielding a knife, Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said. He demanded money and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Two employees in the restaurant at the time of the robbery were not hurt, Woodrow said. The suspect is a white male about 5-feet-8 and 180 pounds.
He wore a dark gray sweatshirt with a black hood, a camouflage hat, blue jeans and blue gloves, Woodrow said. He was carrying a 12-inch knife.
Anyone with information about this robbery is being asked to call the investigations section at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
“It is concerning that it has been robbed so many times,” Woodrow said of the Burger King on Harry.
The Burger King on East Pawnee has also been robbed multiple times this year, and Woodrow said police will look to see if there is any connection.
