Man shot to death in El Dorado

El Dorado police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Monday night.

At about midnight on Monday, officers were dispatched to a report of a man who had been shot at 2610 Country Club, Lt. Maggie Schreiber, a detective with the El Dorado Police Department, said in a prepared statement. The officers found a white male in his mid-50s with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers spent the night interviewing witnesses, Schreiber said. Two “persons of interest” have been taken into custody and are being interviewed.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending the notification of relatives, Schreiber said. The crime scene is still being processed, she said.
