Man wearing ski mask and black sock on hand robs Hilltop Burger King
Call him the Black Sock Bandit.
A man wearing a black sock over his left hand robbed the Burger King in the 4200 block of East Harry at about 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson said. The suspect entered the store in the Hilltop neighborhood west of Harry and Oliver and pointed a gun at a 20-year-old employee, demanding money from the store’s cash registers and safe.
He left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The was in his early 20s and wearing a black ski mask, brown hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and the sock over his hand.
This is the third time in about two weeks that this Burger King has been robbed, police said. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the two earlier robberies, which happened in late June.
