Two homes in southeast Wichita hit by bullets
Police are investigating after gunshots damaged two homes in southeast Wichita on Friday evening, according to Wichita police Sgt. Joe Kennedy.
A 34-year-old woman reported hearing glass break at around 8 p.m. Friday while she was in her home, in the 1000 block of South Dalton, with her 48-year-old husband and three children, ages 13, 6 and 5, Kennedy said.
She discovered her bedroom window had been damaged by a bullet, Kennedy said.
Around the same time, a 24-year-old man who lives in a nearby house was watching TV when he called police after hearing gunshots.
Police found damage to his house as well.
