KBI seeking information in Saline County woman’s death
The Kansas Bureau of Information is seeking information pertaining to a Saline County woman’s death over the weekend.
Around 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Saline County sheriff’s deputies were sent to a house at 10525 Hopkins Road to investigate “a possible death at the residence,” according to a KBI news release.
Lori J. Heimer, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are asking the public’s help locating two vehicles of interest in the case:
▪ An older, flatbed pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet, which is “beat-up,” maroon in color, with a white front bumper, silver grille and wide-style side mirrors. The driver is possibly 50 or older, with “salt and pepper” hair.
▪ An older-style, small pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S-10, two-toned – dark blue on top and bottom with light blue in the middle. The back bumper is silver, but the tailgate is blue like the body of the truck and is newer and appears to have minimal damage compared to the rest of the truck. The remainder of the vehicle is described as “beat-up” or “scratched-up,” and there may be two animal cages or crates in the back. The driver was described as a white man about 40 years old with shoulder-length hair, wearing glasses.
Investigators are also asking for any information pertaining to Heimer, the woman found dead:
▪ Anyone who came into contact with Heimer on June 24 or June 25.
▪ Anyone who had an appointment with Heimer in reference to her dog business during the month of June.
Anyone with information can call the KBI at any time at 1-800-KSCRIME (1-800-572-7463), or the Saline County Sheriff’s Office at 785-826-6500 during normal business hours.
