A 40-year-old man reportedly stabbed another man after being attacked and cut on the arm early Saturday morning, Wichita police said.

The incident occurred about 2:40 a.m. in the 5200 block of East Countryside, said Wichita police Sgt. Joe Kennedy. He gave this account: The victim said he saw a man and woman near his truck as he was leaving, asked what they were doing, and the male suspect attacked him, leaving a minor cut on his arm, possibly from a knife. The victim then pulled out a knife and stabbed the man who attacked him.

The unknown suspects left; there was no indication how seriously the suspect was injured, Kennedy said.

There have been no arrests, and the case remains under investigation, he said.
