Minor injuries in shooting at Lincoln and Topeka
An investigation is underway after Wichita police received a report of a drive-by shooting Tuesday evening.
Sgt. Scott Moon with Patrol South said the 911 emergency system received a call at around 7:15 p.m. from a man saying he had been shot. When police arrived at the southeast corner of Topeka and Lincoln, the reported shooter had already fled. Moon said that, according to reports, the shot came from a white or silver four-door vehicle containing three to four men ages 18 to 20.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site by Emergency Medical Service personnel. He was not transported to a hospital.
Moon said there is no information on the cause of the shooting and police will continue investigating.
