Police said an argument between two small groups of people erupted into gunfire early Saturday morning in northeast Wichita.
Wichita police Sgt. Troy Nedbalek said officers responded to a report of shots fired at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday at 6200 E. 21st St. That’s just west of Woodlawn.
He said witnesses told officers that a group of three men got into an argument with two other men. The group of three men then began to run east on 21st. That’s when the two other men began firing shots at them.
“Twenty-seven shell casings were found in the area,” Nedbalek said. “Two vehicles were damaged. None of the males that ran or the suspects were located.”
He said no injuries were reported.
