Woman tells Wichita police her autistic son was victim at camp

A woman has reported to Wichita police that a summer camp staff member did “inappropriate things with her autistic son” last year, a police report says.

Police on Monday provided a one-sentence version of the report; any details or identifying information was whited out.

It is categorized as a report of aggravated indecent liberties.

The time frame for the alleged actions is June 1 to Aug. 1, 2015, the report said.

The report was filed Saturday and assigned for investigation Monday, said police Lt. Travis Rakestraw, with the Exploited and Missing Child Unit. Rakestraw said it is too early for him to know details of the case.
