Police are looking for a truck and trailer stolen from a north Wichita business Monday night.

Video surveillance shows two men broke onto the property of Honey Do Homes at 3750 N. Topeka at about 7:20 p.m. and stole a white 1996 Dodge pickup with the Kansas license plate 714 CUE, Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said.

The pickup is a single cab model with a black ladder rack in the truck bed, she said. They also stole a black high-wall dump bed trailer with the Kansas license plate 115 EZT.

One of the suspects left in the vehicle they came in: a dark red-over-silver Ford extended cab truck, Woodrow said. Both trucks and the trailer were last seen on Topeka heading toward 37th Street North.

The stolen property has an estimated value of $20,000, Woodrow said. The crime occurred even though the business “did all the right things,” she said.

They have a fence surrounding the property and have a good video surveillance system, she said.

“It’s just an unfortunate circumstance,” Woodrow said.

The suspects are three white men between 25 and 50 years of age. Anyone with information in the case is being asked to call investigations at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
