Arrest made in Intrust bank robbery, possibly others
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery on Friday – and he may be linked to other recent robberies as well, Wichita police said.
Austan Kinnaird was arrested shortly before 10:15 p.m. Friday, a little more than seven hours after the Intrust Bank branch inside the Dillons at 9550 E. Harry was robbed, Wichita police Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said.
Police posted surveillance images from the bank onto Facebook less than an hour after the robbery, and Woodrow said tips helped lead officers to Kinnaird’s location.
Investigators now think Kinnaird may also be responsible for two recent business robberies, Woodrow said.
