Armed pair rob couple of cellphone, money

A 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman told police they were robbed early Sunday in the 4200 block of South Hydraulic.

Wichita police were called to area shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday.

The couple told police they were approached by two unknown men – one armed with a knife – who demanded their money and cell phone, according to Sgt. Joe Kennedy, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The men took the man’s cellphone and the woman’s money then left in an unknown direction, Kennedy said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
