Church sponsors job fair for former inmates, those with criminal histories

The Team Saint Mark Prison Ministry Group is hosting a job fair next weekend geared toward those with employment challenges.

The Job Fair Expo will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 30 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 1525 N. Lorraine. More than 20 employers who are open to hiring formerly incarcerated people and those with criminal histories will be on site. The event will also offer a workshop on interviewing skills, resume advice and clothing giveaways, motivational speakers and information on education and expunging criminal records.

The event is free, including snacks. There’s no registration.
