Wichita man sentenced for sexually assaulting two girls
A Wichita man has been ordered to serve more than 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls, ages 12 and 13.
Michael Lymer, 63, pleaded guilty Feb. 22 to counts of child rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child and battery, the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release. He was sentenced Monday in Sedgwick County District Court by Judge Warren Wilbert. He was criminally charged in two cases.
In addition to serving the 307-month sentence, Lymer must register as a sex offender. Lymer, who was booked into jail last January, worked as a school custodian and volunteered with youth at his church and elsewhere, the district attorney’s office said.
