Police: Teen arrested after sending naked photos of girl to her mother
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of numerous charges, accused of kidnapping a teenage girl he knows and sending naked photos of her to her mother, police said.
The photos were sent as a threat by the documented gang member to the 16-year-old girl’s mother, who had filed a protection from abuse order against him, Wichita police Lt. James Espinoza said.
The boy sent the naked photos to the mother on Wednesday, then abducted the girl later in the day and refused to take her home, Espinoza said. After police were notified, officers found the boy a few blocks away in the 2900 block of South Davidson in Planeview and arrested him.
The girl was unharmed, Espinoza said.
The boy was booked into juvenile detention on suspicion of possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, two counts of criminal threat and three outstanding warrants issued by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. The second alleged count of criminal threat is because a 23-year-old man was with the abducted teen’s mother when the photos were sent, police said.
