Man shot at motel on North Broadway

Police are investigating a shooting at the Mark 8 Inn on North Broadway early Thursday morning.

The shooting was reported just after 4:30 a.m. at the motel at 1130 N. Broadway, a Sedgwick County emergency dispatcher said. A 23-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a potentially critical gunshot wound to his upper leg.

Police have been given descriptions of multiple suspects, the dispatcher said.
