Wichita police arrested a 27-year-old man after he pulled a gun on a group of people at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Sgt. Joe Kennedy said the man was inside Best Buy at 6700 W. Kellogg shoplifting when five people — a 50-year-old man, a 28-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman, a 33-year-old man and a 20-year-old man — tried to stop him.

“The suspect then pointed a handgun at the victims,” who were not injured, Kennedy said.

When police arrived, they found the man and arrested him.

Kennedy said the man was charged with theft, being a felon in possession of a gun and five counts of aggravated assault.

He said at least one of the victims was a Best Buy employee.
