Dodge City woman to be sentenced in child pornography case

A Dodge City woman on Monday pleaded guilty to videoing herself molesting a child younger than 5 and uploading it to the Internet, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said.

Ashley Marie Kelly, 25, is scheduled for sentencing June 1 on one count of producing child pornography. Grissom, in a prepared statement, said Kelly admitted to recording a sex act with the child using her smartphone then posting the video to her Google Drive account.

Google found the recordings and notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, he said.

Attorneys have agreed to ask Kelly’s sentencing judge to send her to federal prison for 25 years, Grissom said. The Ford County Sheriff’s Office, Wichita Police Department, Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the U.S. Attorney’s Office investigated.
